For Moapa Palms Reports
This is another view of one of the small groves outside Overton, this time showing the rocky bluffs and one of the swampy areas. This is part of the Overton Wildlife refuge and is near the original Sanford Angel homestead hence the name: Angel springs. The springs are actually only very minor seeps which provide just enough water to support the few palms you see. Seven Bedrock mortars in the same rock which is showing in the foreground correlate with Moapa testimonials and descriptions of mortars the Moapa's grandparents used to crush and soak Palm fruit.
